LightSweep privacy
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how BEES Nest Limited (“BEES Nest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes information when you use LightSweep Photo Cleaner (the “App”).
The App helps you review and manage selected content stored on your device. Most photo, video, and contact operations are performed locally. Separate technical, analytics, advertising, and purchase information may be transmitted to us or our service providers as explained below.
01 / How the App Handles Your Content
When you choose to review or clean content, the App may access photos, videos, associated file information, and contacts available through permissions granted on your device.
The App may analyze this content to identify items that appear similar, duplicated, large, unnecessary, or otherwise suitable for your review. This analysis is intended to occur primarily on your device.
We do not intentionally upload the actual contents of your photos, videos, or address book to Google Analytics for Firebase or Google Mobile Ads for behavioral analysis or advertising. The App’s analytics events are intended to record general feature activity rather than the contents being reviewed.
Your content remains under your control. The App does not delete photos, videos, or contacts merely because they have been identified for review. A deletion or modification occurs only after you select an item and confirm or perform the relevant action.
Deleted media may remain in the device’s “Recently Deleted” album for a period determined by the operating system. Contacts may also be synchronized with iCloud or another account provider, and changes made through the App may be reflected across devices connected to that account. These platform-controlled copies are not managed by BEES Nest.
02 / Information That May Be Collected
The following information is separate from the photos, videos, and contact details processed for cleaning functions.
User and device identifiers
We may process a User ID, Device ID, installation identifier, advertising identifier where permitted, or another pseudonymous identifier associated with the App.
A User ID does not necessarily mean that the App maintains a named user account. It may be generated to distinguish a particular user, device, installation, or access entitlement.
Device and network information
This may include:
- IP address;
- device model and manufacturer;
- operating system and version;
- language, time zone, and general region;
- App version and installation status;
- network type and connection status; and
- limited technical configuration information.
An IP address may indicate an approximate geographic area, but the App does not require precise GPS location for its core cleaning functions.
App activity and behavioral events
We may record events such as App launches, screen views, feature selections, cleaning categories opened, buttons tapped, completion or cancellation of an operation, session duration, purchase-page activity, advertisement impressions, and advertisement interactions.
These events may indicate that a cleaning function was used, but they are not intended to contain the actual image, video, contact name, phone number, email address, or other content examined through that function.
Diagnostics
Crash data, error records, performance information, and similar diagnostic data may be collected to identify faults, improve stability, and investigate unsuccessful operations.
Subscription and purchase information
When you begin a free trial, purchase a subscription, complete a lifetime purchase, restore access, or otherwise interact with a paid offer, we may receive information such as:
- product or plan selected;
- transaction identifier;
- purchase and validation status;
- trial, renewal, cancellation, or expiration status; and
- storefront or general transaction region.
Payments are processed by the applicable app marketplace. We do not receive your complete payment-card or bank-account details.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you include in the communication, such as your email address, description of the issue, device details, or screenshots.
Before sending a screenshot or diagnostic file, please remove photos, contact details, or other personal content that is not necessary for us to resolve the issue.
03 / Relationship Between Identifiers and Activity
Device ID, User ID, installation identifiers, purchase information, and behavioral events may be associated with the same user, device, or App installation.
This association may be used to understand feature usage, measure engagement, maintain access entitlements, investigate errors, prevent abuse, deliver and measure advertising, or perform tracking where legally permitted.
We do not intentionally associate the visual contents of your photos or videos, or the names and contact details in your address book, with an advertising profile.
04 / Why We Process Information
Depending on the information and feature involved, processing may be necessary to:
- provide and maintain App functions;
- carry out actions selected by you;
- understand how users interact with the App;
- evaluate feature performance and user behavior;
- diagnose crashes, errors, and unsuccessful operations;
- validate subscriptions, free trials, lifetime purchases, and restored purchases;
- prevent fraudulent transactions or misuse;
- display and measure advertisements;
- conduct advertising attribution or tracking where permission has been obtained;
- respond to support requests;
- meet legal and regulatory obligations; and
- protect the App, our users, and our rights.
Where applicable law requires consent, we process the relevant information only after obtaining that consent. Other processing may be based on providing the service you request, our legitimate operational interests, or compliance with legal obligations.
05 / Permissions Used by the App
System permissions are requested only when they are relevant to a function you choose to use.
Photos and videos
The App may request access to your photo library to display, compare, organize, or delete selected photos and videos.
Where the operating system supports limited access, you may choose to provide access only to selected items. Restricting access may limit the App’s ability to review the entire library or identify similar content across all media.
Deleting an item may require an additional system confirmation. Refusing that confirmation prevents the App from completing the deletion.
Contacts
Contact access may be requested if you choose to review or manage contact records. The App may read relevant contact fields and submit changes that you expressly select.
The App does not need contact access for photo or video cleaning. If permission is refused, media-related features can continue to operate, while contact-management functions will be unavailable.
Tracking
The App may request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework if advertising or measurement involves linking information from the App with information from apps, websites, or data sources operated by other companies.
If you decline tracking permission, the App’s core cleaning functions remain available. You may still see advertisements, but they may be contextual or less personalized, and some attribution or measurement functions may be limited. Further information about this system permission is available in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency documentation.
Internet access
An internet connection may be used for analytics, advertising, purchase validation, support, configuration updates, and other operational requests. Internet access does not mean that your photo library, videos, or contacts are automatically uploaded.
Based on the App functions described in this Policy, precise location, microphone, Bluetooth, and local-network access are not ordinarily required. If a future feature genuinely requires an additional permission, the App will request it through the operating system and provide an appropriate explanation.
You may review or revoke permissions through your device settings. Revoking a permission may prevent the related function from operating but does not by itself cancel a subscription.
06 / Analytics and Advertising Providers
The App uses the following third-party services:
Google Analytics for Firebase
Google Analytics for Firebase helps us measure App usage and engagement. It may process identifiers, IP address, device information, user properties, sessions, purchase-related activity, and events configured by us.
Google describes this service as an app-measurement solution that automatically collects certain events and permits developers to define additional events to understand App use and performance. See the official Google Analytics for Firebase documentation.
Google Mobile Ads
Google Mobile Ads is used to deliver and measure advertisements. Depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and tracking permission, it may process Device ID, advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, ad impressions, ad interactions, and related attribution or measurement data.
Advertising may be personalized, non-personalized, or contextual according to applicable requirements and your available choices.
Google processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. Additional information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy and its explanation of how Google uses information from partner apps.
We configure analytics and advertising events so that they are not intended to include the actual content of your photos, videos, or contact records.
07 / Data Sharing and Tracking
Technical, analytics, advertising, diagnostic, and purchase information may be transmitted to BEES Nest, Google Analytics for Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, the applicable app marketplace, and service providers assisting with legitimate App operations.
We do not sell your photos, videos, or contact records.
We do not sell personal information for direct monetary payment. However, some privacy laws may classify the disclosure of device identifiers and advertising activity as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale,” even when no money is exchanged.
Where required, you may limit such processing by:
- declining or revoking tracking permission;
- adjusting advertising or privacy settings on your device;
- using an available consent or privacy control; or
- contacting us using the details below.
Refusing personalized advertising or tracking does not necessarily remove all advertisements.
08 / Storage and Retention
Photos, videos, contacts, and cleaning results processed locally remain on your device or in the accounts connected to it. Their retention depends on your actions, device settings, operating-system behavior, and any synchronization service you use.
Identifiers, behavioral events, diagnostic information, and related technical records held directly in systems controlled by BEES Nest are generally retained for no longer than seven days. At the end of that period, they are deleted or de-identified unless a longer period is reasonably required to address fraud, security incidents, legal obligations, disputes, or enforceable claims.
Information processed by Google, Apple, an app marketplace, a cloud account provider, or another independent platform may be retained under that provider’s own policies and legal obligations. Their retention periods are not controlled by BEES Nest and are not subject to our seven-day operational retention period.
Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, document the resolution, and comply with applicable obligations.
09 / International Processing
Technical, analytics, advertising, purchase, and support information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you live. Data-protection rules in those countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required, we or our service providers use recognized legal safeguards for international data transfers.
Locally processed photos, videos, and contacts do not leave your device merely because analytics or advertising providers operate internationally.
10 / Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or request information about disclosures.
You can manage most functional content directly by changing your selections, deleting content, restricting permissions, or removing the App. Please note that deleting the App does not necessarily remove items retained in the device’s “Recently Deleted” album, cancel an active subscription, or delete records maintained by an app marketplace.
For information controlled by BEES Nest, send a request to [email protected]. We may request limited information needed to verify the request and locate the relevant record or App installation.
Because some identifiers are pseudonymous and retained only briefly, we may not always be able to connect a request with a specific record after the retention period has expired.
11 / Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information under our control. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for reviewing items before confirming deletion or modification. We recommend maintaining an appropriate backup of important photos, videos, and contact information. The App’s identification of duplicate, similar, large, or unnecessary content is an automated assessment and may not reflect the personal importance of an item.
12 / Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law for independent consent to data processing.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
13 / Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in App functionality, data practices, service providers, or legal requirements.
Where required, material changes will be communicated through the App, its marketplace listing, or another reasonable method. The effective date at the beginning identifies the current version.
